President’s Message
As the President of the Greater Denton County (TX) Chapter (GDCC) of The Links, Incorporated, I am excited to welcome you to our esteemed organization. Founded on June 9, 2012, GDCC is a vibrant group of women, part of a national movement dedicated to building friendships and enriching the community through service.
The Links, Incorporated, is an international, not-for-profit corporation established in 1946. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
Here at GDCC, we are proud to continue this legacy. Our chapter is a tapestry of dynamic women who are leaders in various fields, and together, we strive to make a tangible impact in our community. Our programs span across five areas of focus: Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services. Through these programs, we aim to empower our community, foster educational excellence, promote cultural enrichment, and advocate for health and wellness.
As we look to the future, our focus is to build upon the foundation laid by our chartering members, to establish more community partners, expand our reach throughout the community and deliver impactful results. We are committed to creating programs that not only serve, but also inspire those around us to join in our mission of service.
