The focus of our Health and Human Services facet is to address chronic health disparities that are prevalent in our communities of color, often resulting in decreased life expectancy for African- Americans. Through our support of this initiative, the Greater Denton County (TX) Chapter consistently supports and assists organizations seeking to diminish chronic disease’s impact while educating and promoting healthy living. In partnership with national health agencies and other organizations, the Greater Denton County (TX) Chapter strives to promote good health throughout our service area and the elimination of chronic health disparities in communities of color through education, health advocacy, and the optimal utilization of health resources.
